My mother just passed....she was at a hospital for awhile and finally she went to a nursing home...?

she was there a day and in the morning about 630am got a call from nursing home saying that she was non-responsive and not breathing they called life squad i went to hospital and got there about 730am and was told she passed at 704am...when they let me go back to be with her i was feeling her hand and arm and it was cold from the elbow down and her fingers were already getting stiff...the ? is did she die when they said she did or was it actually sooner?
