Is it better to better to get human hairor afro kinky hair for dreadlock extensions?

Im getting dreadlock extensions soon and i dont know if i should get afro kinky hair or human hair..i hear that synthetic hair is bad for your hair because it drys it out an may make you brake out...but it is cheaper than human hair...b i hear that human hair is much more plyable an it isnt stiff when you first get it which is good but isnt it like $20 a pack an i need atleast 10 packs of hairand dont i need to use glue for the human hair i didnt want to use glue...what should i do should i spend the money and get the results i want sooner or just use the afrokinky hair.
