How is Boku no Pico OVA series not porn?

Look I know it's just a cartoon and many people look at it as "art". I watched the series and it was really bad. The acting was stiff, the imagery was horrible, there is nothing to like about the characters and it there is only enough plot to make character A and B to have sex. Sounds like porn to me.
