I think my mother told me a lie?

For some reason, she started pressuring me to get in touch with a cousin I haven't seen in 20 years, who I don't like. She wrote me a letter and mentioned the cousin like 5 times. I haven't seen my mother in 16 years and I've been at least 2,000 miles away from her the whole time. My cousin lives in my state in a house her dead mother-in-law left for her and husband. It's built on a cliff overlooking "The Straits of Juan de Fuca". The first thing my mother said in her letter is "Carol's house fell off the cliff and into the Straits of Juan de Fuca". Directory Assistance still has Carol's husband listed at the same address with the same phone number and the phone works. I looked in the newspaper for their area and it said NOTHING about any houses falling off cliffs. If that happeneed, wouldn't it be "newsworthy"? My mother has always been a pathological liar. I think she fabricated that business about her house to try to get me to feel sorry for her so I would get together with her. The cousin sent me a card, too and I felt like I was being unlawfully harassed and stalked. I wrote my mother a post-card and said "I charge $100 an hour for "social work services". I decline on the "crazy Mormon *****" assignment. I sent the cousin a post-card and threatened to "contact Law Enforcement" if she continued harassing and stalking me. I know that sounds nuts but I was REALLY pissed off. What do you think? Did her house fall off the cliff and into The Straits or not?
