Pokemon yellow Where can i get a better pokeball before i get my third badge?

unfortunatly as far as better balls go there are none abra is kinda difficult to get all u can do is when it appears throw a pokeball at it and hope you get it you can try catching drowzee he is to the right of ss anne in the grass past digletts cave he will be lv12 or so i do suggest you catch him and train it cause hypno kicks butt later in the game but as far as using him to catch abra as soon as you go to attack he will teleport out of battle also if you really want abra but dont want to spend the time catching him once to get to celadon city and get a coin case from the man in the restraunt you can go to the game corner and play the slot machines and get i think 250 coins and go next door and abra is one of the prizes also a hint in the games corner talk to the people at the slot machines and check the floor behind them and if you didnt know abra evolves at 15 and learn phychic but to get alakzam you need to trade to a friends game boy so good luck also to get mr.mime go threw digletts cave and on the other side is a small house and inside there will be a person that wants an abra for mr.mime i suggest use an extra abra cause mr. mime kinda sucks i lvl one up all the way to 80 and he only learns like 5 moves but you also gotta fill up the pokedex
